As a spreadsheet fanatic, this new logo for Google Sheets is an abomination.
Why the two green rectangles? Spreadsheets are most recognizable for cells (boxes), why did you get rid of them? What are those white lines?
And what in the world is that blue glow?!
It’s so. Bad. It almost looks like they mistakenly pushed live a work-in-progress, draft design.

Postcript: Seeing all the redesigned icons together emphasizes how bad this one is. The others are fine. This one literally makes no sense. The blue glow on Google Chat and Google Voice is still a weird look. But they’re ignorable; not in the Sheets icon though.
